Sorceress is the guardian and mistress of the secrets of Greyskull Castle, the source of He-Man's power. She is one of Eternia's most powerful creatures, and yet she is a generous and humble woman, capable of instilling confidence and courage in others. Furthermore, Sorceress is the birth mother of Teela, whom she was forced to entrust to Man-At-Arms, so as not to distract her from her task as guardian of Grayskull. Apart from Man-At-Arms, only He-Man is aware of this secret. Her real name is Teela'Na and she comes from the small village of Nowella, which was put to the sword by the evil Morgoth. In order to have power and defend her people, Teela'Na agreed to take the place of the previous Sorceress, acquiring not only incredible power but also heavy responsibilities. Sorceress is immortal, however her powers are bound to the castle walls, so outside them her magic is greatly weakened. To leave Grayskull Castle, she normally takes the form of a falcon.
